Maureen Cronin

Ms. Cronin started her career working with adolescents in a clinical capacity.  She continues to work part-time within the  behavioral health milieu as a substance use disorder counselor in the State of Alaska.  In addition, she serves as an adjunct professor.  She recently joined the Â鶹Éçmadou School District’s CCL Team  (College, Career, and Life Ready).  She is  delighted to  serve  as the Academy Coach for Bettye Davis East Â鶹Éçmadou High School (BDEAHS).  The school is located on an urban campus near the UMED District.  It was recognized as the most culturally diverse school in the U.S.  It has a strong legacy of developing scholar-athletes, including a few Olympians.

 

Among Maureen Cronin’s graduate degrees an EDS in Counseling & School Psychology, an M.ED in School Counseling, Grad Cert Child & Adolescent Mental Health, an M.ED in Curriculum & Instruction, as well as an M.ED in School Administration.

 

She has served in various capacities in the Â鶹Éçmadou School District, including but not limited to  Department Chair, Acting AP, Induction Liaison, as well as a Pre-Service Teacher Mentor.  Ms. Cronin has taught at the secondary level 6-12 from Pre-AP English to Physics.  She is also a world language educator with a Bilingual Education endorsement.  She is a multilingual educator who believes that biliteracy offers an ecological framework for critical thinking.
